Convert the vehicle battery or charger to an external power source
Adapters that convert the vehicle's battery (V2L) or charger (C2L) into an external power supply. Compatible with Type 2 inputs and schuko / Cee outputs and V2L-supported vehicles such as Hyundai, Kia, MG, BYD, Ssangyong and Skywell — for camping, workshop and emergency scenarios.
The difference lies in where the power comes from. A V2L adapter takes electricity from the car's battery and converts it to a standard socket; this requires the car to support V2L, and the end that plugs into the vehicle changes by brand. A C2L adapter takes electricity from the Type 2 output of an AC charger instead, so the car does not need to support V2L and no range is lost. The output of Bemis adapters is a Schuko socket with a maximum current of 16A.

What does V2L (Vehicle to Load) do?
V2L lets you use your vehicle's battery as a portable power source. The adapter plugs into the vehicle's charging socket and provides a standard 220V output. During camping, outdoor events or power outages you can run a refrigerator, a projector or small appliances. The energy comes from the vehicle's battery.
What does C2L (Charger to Load) do?
A C2L adapter converts the electricity drawn from the Type 2 socket of an AC charging station into a standard Schuko (household) or CEE (industrial) socket. A Type 2 charging point can then be used not only for vehicle charging but also as a 220V/380V outlet for a workshop, an event area or a temporary installation. The energy comes from the charging unit, not from your vehicle's battery.
What is the difference between V2L and C2L?
The only difference is where the energy comes from: V2L takes energy FROM THE VEHICLE (the vehicle's battery is the source) — your car becomes a mobile power source. C2L takes energy FROM THE CHARGING UNIT (a Type 2 charger is the source) — it turns a charging point into a conventional socket. They serve different purposes; with the Combi Set you get both adapters in a single package.
Which vehicles support V2L?
Vehicles such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5/6, Kia EV6/EV9, Genesis GV60, Ssangyong (KGM) Torres EVX, MG ZS EV / MG4, BYD Atto 3 / Seal / Han and Skywell ET5 support V2L from the factory. Our Bemis V2L adapters are made to match these manufacturers' socket pin layouts — when choosing the product, select the variant that fits your vehicle (Hyundai/Kia/Ssangyong, MG, BYD/Skywell). Tesla vehicles do not support it as standard.
How much power can be drawn from a V2L adapter?
It depends on the vehicle's V2L output. Most Hyundai/Kia models deliver 3.6 kW (16A), BYD and MG models 2.2 kW (10A), and some newer models go up to 7.2 kW. Our Bemis V2L adapters transfer the vehicle's output power safely and never exceed your vehicle's limit. Single, double and triple-socket versions share the same total power.
Does using V2L damage the battery?
No. V2L is a mode of use intended by the manufacturer; the battery management system (BMS) controls the depth of discharge. Most vehicles automatically switch off V2L mode when the battery level drops to 20%. Regular use does not affect battery life.
